Fat Siesta

I know it has been more than a week since a new post at Fatty Lane. I have been busy with lots of different stuff. Fatty Lane is not dead, just on a fat siesta. Regular posting will return later this week. In the mean time here are some things to keep you busy.

-Disney had a fat fighting exhibit…that basically closed right away.

mirror on the wall, who's the fattest one of all?

-Are you fat, big boned, pleasantly plump or just greedy?

-Hungry? Try a bacon, wild boar and country sausage scramble.

-Does fat=sick?

-Does a bad economy make people lose weight?

  1. If we are to believe that a poor economy makes people thinner, then what we’ve been force fed regarding the correlation between obesity and lower income must have been bullshit. Obviously this is just another example of how studies can be manipulated to indicate just about anything you want them to.

BTW, my own limited experience with this has shown that people who do not work do tend to gain weight. My wife stopped working about two years ago and during the time she has been stilling at home she has gained about 80 pounds. Sitting around doing nothing and eating lots of junk food has really piled the weight on. At this point she might just as well become the next Pauline Potter of Susanne Eman.
